Bruno Helman, Running for Diabetes, Brazil

Bruno Helman

Bruno Helman , is an advocate, social entrepreneur and marathonist. He has been living with T1D for 10 years and with depression for 7. Through the power of community, he found that helping others to live an active and healthy life was his mission. He then founded Institute Running for Diabetes, a non-profit organization focused on promoting the overall health and inclusion of people living with diabetes.

On top of that Bruno brings the experience of working for the Brazilian Ministry of Health and for CSOs both in Brazil and abroad. He is also affiliated with the IDF as Young Leader in Diabetes, with the NCD Alliance as an advisor member for the “Our Views, Our Voices” initiative and with NCD Child as Young Leader.
